KARINA KILLJOY

Karina Killjoy (Hagelin) is a disabled, queer femme, artist, community organizer, and archivist currently based in Ithaca, New York where they work in the Rare & Manuscripts Collection Civision at Cornell University where they create metadata, process archival collections for the Human Sexuality collection, and assist researchers at the reference desk.

As an artist, their work is grounded in radical vulnerability, queer femme magic, survivor solidarity, healing justice, and gossip as a site of resistance.  They are passionate about fatshion, critical librarianship, cats, and zines. Their research interests include critical librarianship, American Studies, harm reduction, critical disability studies, queer theory, and zines / zine librarianship.
